Regranting Process
- $4.75 million state grant (breakdown)
- $2.4 million is available to grant to Nonprofits
- Nonprofits and agencies who will employ artists & culture bearers – $25,000 to $150,000
- $1.4 million is available to grant to Individuals and Culture Bearers
- Applying independently – $10,000 to $50,000
- Applying collectively as a smaller group – $50,000 to $100,000″
- Grants will be given directly to artists
- Grants will also be given to organizations to hire artists + (only 20% of grant total may be used for administration per state requirements)
- 20% ($950,000) reserved for administration, program design, technical assistance, and media support + $3.8 million will be regranted directly to artists and community-based organizations/government agencies/etc to hire artists
- Technical assistance will be provided for all artists and applicants by local mentors and at public workshops for no cost.
